FELIX FREDERIC PARISIEN August 9, 1922 - December 22, 2002 Suddenly on Sunday, December 22, 2002, at his home in Sandilands, our dear husband, father, peacefully passed away at the age of 80 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Georgette of 61 years; and his children, Raynald, Paul, Lawrence (Margaret), Louis, Anita (Stan), Loretta (Gary), Diane (Louis), Francis (Jan), Theresa (Dave), Robert (Crystal) as well as 23 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He had a special love for them and they in turn looked forward to spending time with Grandpa. He also leaves behind seven brothers and sisters, Celestine, Emile, Marcel, Edmund, Marcelin, Eugenie and Ozioas. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Albertine; and one sister Marianne. Felix had a love for the great outdoors, working at logging that later turned into a career with the Department of Natural Resources until he retired in 1987, after 30 years of service. His love for the outdoors extended beyond work, as he enjoyed hunting, and especially enjoyed the day fishing. Felix served in the Armed Forces and was a member of the Winnipeg Rifles from 1939 to 1945. Felix will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends he made along the way. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 11:00 a.m. at the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church in Woodridge, with Msgr. Albert Frechette officiating. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel of Steinbach. (204) 326-1351.
