She loved dogs, cats and birds and was a member of The Purple Martin Club for many years. She also loved to travel and went on many cruises with her long time friend and neighbour Audrey Taylor. We would like to thank all the staff at Deer Lodge Centre, 3 south and 2 south for making Alices last 14 months fun and memorable. She loved the outings, parties, luncheons, entertainment, and especially Wednesday night Bingo. At Alices request a private interment has already taken place at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB. IM FREE Dont grieve for me, for now Im free. Im following the path God has laid you see. I took His hand when I heard His call I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day To laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way I found peace at the break of day. If my parting has left a void Then fill it with remembered joys A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Oh, yes these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My lifes been full, Ive savoured much, Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief Dont lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts, peace to thee God wanted me now, He has set me free.
