Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMOSES ROSS Suddenly on Friday, January 10, 2003 at 9:00 a.m., Moses Ross of Gods River, passed away at the age of 58 years. Moses was born on November 7, 1944 at Gods Lake. He had spent his entire life at Gods River, MB. At the time of Moses passing, he was a councillor of Manto Sipi Cree First Nation for a number of years and previously had served the community as its Chief. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping and at the time of his death, he still had his traps set on his trap line. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, his wife Flora; three daughters, Claudia, Gloria (fiance Randy) and Laura (John) one son Mickey (Rachel) nine grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny (Mary) and Peter; one sister Mary (Steven) and father-in-law Joseph Okemow. There are numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Elijah and Effie Ross; one son Milton; one daughter Effie; mother-in-law Elsie Okemow; sister Emma Jane Harper; brother Benny Ross; two brothers-in-law, Elijah Duck and Isaac Harper; four nephews and one niece. Wake services will be held on Monday, January 13, Tuesday, January 14 and Wednesday, January 15 at Gods River, MB. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gods River Community Hall with Rev. Hilda Perch officiating. Interment to follow at Gods River Cemetery.
