Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL GRYGORCZYK Peacefully, after a brief illness, Michael Grygorczyk, passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital, on Tuesday, December 24, 2002 at the age of 81. Michael was born September 15, 1921 in Stanislawa, Poland. His parents and his two brothers, Stefan and Wasyl predeceased him. Michael leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 50 years, Loretta (Yauniskis), daughter Katheryn Tuchscherer (David), son Robert, two grandchildren, James and Christopher; sister Pauline; sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews living in Poland, Ontario and Nova Scotia. Michael served in the Polish army during the Second World War reaching the rank of Lance Corporal. After immigrating to Canada in 1947, Michael, first worked in the mines of Snow Lake, MB. He settled in Winnipeg in 1952 and worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway for 30 years retiring in 1983. During his retirement, Michael enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He could be seen almost everyday playing cards at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 256 where he was a lifetime member. During the summer, Michael was happiest. He loved to fish with his grandson, relax with his garden and most especially spend the day searching for the elusive wild mushrooms. Above all, Michaels greatest love was his family for which he would do anything. The family wishes to thank Dr. D. Tsang for his care and support over this difficult period as well as the nurses and staff of Unit 3-5 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with visitation at 9:30 a.m. An Oblate Father will officiate and interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his fellow comrades from Royal Canadian Legion Branch 246. Fondly remembered and loved by all. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
