PAUL HOULE On Monday, December 23, 2002, Paul Houle passed away. Paul leaves behind his loving family; sister Agnes Shannacappo of Winnipeg; children, Dolphus (Sandra) of Keeseekoowenin, Orville of Vancouver, Elvis (Donna) of Winnipeg, Gerald (Ida) of Vancouver, Clarence (Mildred) of Keeseekoowenin, Kenneth of Winnipeg, Grant (April) of Vancouver, Florence of Calgary, Iris (Clifford) of Calgary, Karen (Joe) of Arizona, Hilda (William) of Keeseekoowenin, Maxine (Jason) of Keeseekoowenin and Pearl (George) of St. Rose du Lac. Paul was predeceased by his wife, Emma Viola Houle on March 28, 1991, sons; James Houle, February 11, 1994; Earl Houle, May 1, 1985; Gary Houle, December 1980; and Ivan Houle, May 9, 1994. He also leaves to mourn and cherish his memory numerous grand-children and great-grandchildren, as well as numerous friends and relatives. Wake services will be held on Friday, December 27, starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Elphinstone Memorial Hall, Elphinstone. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28, at 1:00 p.m. at the hall. Pastor Nathaniel Picklyk will officiate. Interment will follow in the Keeseekoowenin First Nation Cemetery. Drummers will be Waywayseecappo Traditional Drum Group. Honorary pallbearers will be; Levi Huntinghawk, Bruce Flett, Erin Brandon and Colin Bone. Active pallbearers will be; William Bone, Jesse Bone, Paul Houle Jr., Jason Brandon, Kurt Blackbird, and Clifford Sutherland. Raes Funeral Service of Shoal Lake and Erickson are in care of the arrangements. (204) 759-2160.
