Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTELLA LUCIER (nee CROPO) With deep sorrow the family announces the passing of Stella Lucier, aged 82 at St. Josephs Residence on Monday, December 23, 2002. Stella was born in Winnipeg on October 6, 1920. As a young woman, she worked for Wood-Gundy and Sears and was a valuable asset to both companies. When her family opened Cropo Funeral Chapel, Stella was an integral part of the operation of the Chapel. When her mother required care, Stella devoted her life to taking care of her. She was a very loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend and everyone will miss her deeply. Stella enjoyed going to bingo with her friends, entertaining, especially at Christmas and family functions, spending winters at the Cropo family residence in Florida, and summers at their cottage in Ponemah. Charlie, the family schnauzer, was her pet and Stella took great care of his well being. She was predeceased by her parents, Marion and Josephine Cropo; brothers, Thomas and Joseph; sister Helen Gallagher and brother-in-law James Gallagher; sister-in-law Tillie Cropo; nephews, Brian Cropo and Peter Cropo. She will be sadly missed by her brother Edward, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and as well as her many friends. The family wish to thank Dr. T. Babick, and the staff at the St Josephs Residence for all their loving care over the past ten years. Many thanks to all Stellas devoted friends and visitors who made her life a bit easier with their cheerful visits. Special thanks to Pat of Medox, and Larissa Lesehyshyu of Medox, her last companion during her final days. If friends so desire, donations in Stellas memory may be made to St Josephs Residence, 1149 Leila Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2P 1S6. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 30, at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Entombment will follow in the Cropo Family Mausoleum at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. God looked around His garden, and found an empty space. He then looked down upon the earth and saw your tired face. He put His arms around you, and lifted you to rest, Gods garden must be beautiful He only takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain, He knew the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. So He closed your weary eyelids and whispered, Peace be thine it broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home. "We love you Aunty and always will" CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
