Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOWEN GEORGE NORTON 1919 - 2002 Mr. George Norton of Edmonton, AB, formerly of St. Lambert, QC and Ottawa, ON, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2002. He will be remembered for the gentleness and grace with which he lived all his life. He was one swell guy. George is mourned and will be fondly remembered by Elizabeth (Betty) his loving wife of 57 years; their children, Bob (Ruth) Norton of Winnipeg; Mary Norton (Rob Hankinson) of Edmonton, Ken (Judith) Norton of St. Lambert; grandchildren, Marcie, Derek, Cornel, Dean, Kelly, Craig and Chuck Fontaine; Sarah, Rachael and Joel Norton; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Kathleen Murray; nieces and nephews; along with the women and men of Central Park Lodge, South Terrace, who provided his care with kindness, love and respect during his last three and one-half years. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Garneau United Church, 11148 - 84 Avenue, Edmonton. Rev. Lorne Heffelfinger will officiate. Cremation will take place in the Foster and McGarvey Crematorium; interment will be later in the year in Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
