INGRID REIF Sadly, on Tuesday, December 24, 2002, Ingrid Reif, aged 63, passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital with her loving husband Herbert and her son Richard at her bedside. Also left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Klaus and Joachim; sister-in-law Evelyn (Romano) cousin Wolfgang; nieces and nephew, Dorina, Danny, Patricia, Mike and Janet and their families. She was predeceased by her parents, Margareta and Erich, and stepfather Albert. Ingrid was born on February 25, 1939 in Berlin, Germany, spending her early years there. In 1956, she met Herbert whom she spent all her time with. Herbert moved to Winnipeg in 1960. She followed her heart and also moved to Winnipeg where they were married on November 19, 1960. In 1966, their loving son Richard was born. She devoted her life to raising her son and looking after her family. Many trips were enjoyed as a family, including Germany, Cozumel and Florida. Many memorable summers were spent on the houseboat at Lake of the Woods. Ingrid enjoyed reading, crafts and gardening. As a family we were grateful for the closeness we felt in the final weeks of her life during her illness. Special thanks to the nursing staff and doctors from St. Boniface and Seven Oaks Hospitals. Funeral service, 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 30 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. Committal, Elmwood Cemetery, 88 Hespeler Street. Reception to follow.
