VIRA TOPYLKO It is with deep sorrow we announce the tragic death of our beloved Vira Topylko on Christmas Day, December 25, 2002 at the Health Sciences Centre at the young age of 23. Vira leaves to mourn her mother Anna Danyliak; father Julian Topylko and his family; younger brother Bohdan (Nadia) only niece Angela Topylko whom she had no chance to see; aunt Oksana (Vasil) and their son Michael Markovych all from Ukraine. She will be deeply missed by her grandmother Anna (Walter) Skybowich; Gojans family; Mrs. E. Koenig with whom she lived; Korsch, Fifi and Lussier families; her best friend Olena (Andriy) and their son Nazar Surmai; coworkers; numerous friends; extended family in Canada and Ukraine. She was predeceased by her grandfather Bohdan Danyliak. Vira was born on November 12, 1979 in Lviv, Ukraine. After graduating from college three years ago, she arrived to Winnipeg on a work visa in search of a better life. Since then she worked as a seamstress at Star Sportswear Ltd. Living far and away from her homeland, Vira always remembered and helped her family and friends by providing financial assistance to them. In the near future she saw herself becoming a Canadian citizen and attending college. Vira touched many individuals lives and had a unique ability to make each person feel special. She will always be remembered for her loving, kind and generous nature and for the positive way in which she lived her life to the fullest. Prayers will be sung 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2003 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4 also at the Cathedral with Rev. M. Kouts officiating. Interment will be held in Ukraine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vira Topylko Funeral Fund at Carpathia Credit Union, 952 Main St., Winnipeg, MB R2W 3P4 or at any Carpathia Credit Union Branch.
