DAVID TAYLOR Suddenly on December 21, 2002, David Alexander Taylor passed away. Dave was born July 29, 1953 in Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents, Nancy and Jimmy Taylor. Dave is survived by his sister Catherine; brother Andrew (Leslie) nieces, Kathleen (Dan Nichol), Jamie Neil (Simon) great-nieces, Sydney and Kennedy Neil; aunts, Annie, Georgina, Christina; and numerous cousins. Dave worked at Zealand Chartered Accountant Co. He lived his entire life in St. Vital, he attended Glenlawn Collegiate and University of Manitoba. For 20 years Dave donated his time to the Joint Hospital Visiting Committee for Hospitalized Veterans. He donated his accounting skills to auditing books for non profit organizations. He belonged to the Sons of Scotland and MCC. Dave spent many happy times at his cabin in the Whiteshell. He loved animals and wildlife. At the lake he fed birds, the racoon, fox and his favourite the flying squirrels. He died while putting a new bird feeder together. He also enjoyed his garden, fishing, boating and a good party. His Silver Persian cats are missing him dreadfully. We thank friends who showed their support with visits, flowers, food and calls. If friends so desire a donation may be made in Daves memory towards animals in distress. A memorial account is being set up to be administered by C. Taylor, 102 Humboldt Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2M 0M1 or another animal charity of your choice. A remembrance service will be held on January 3, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. (233-4949). Cremation has taken place.

  • Tho I never even met this man.... I do believe I'd loved him. Found this obit when researching mutual Whiteshell interests. Long live David's attitude! - Posted by: Ms.Kym Hill (David Fan) on: Jan 01, 2019

  • There isn’t a week that goes by that I don’t think of him or wish he was sitting at the end of the couch at 102. He has been sorely missed and is always in our family’s thoughts. - Posted by: Andrew Taylor (Bother) on: Jan 01, 2012
