MARION HELEN CHAIKIN Marion Helen Chaikin (nee Freedman) passed away on December 19, 2002 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. She is survived by her daughters, Darlene Davis (Jerry) and Elaine Nelson (Randy) grandchildren, Marci Pauls (Rod), Myles Davis, Mitchell and Stuart Nelson; her sister Judy Baker and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ben of 59 years in 2001; sisters, Ann, Sarah and Gerry and brothers, Louis and Charlie. Marion was born in Winnipeg in 1915 where she lived until she married Ben. After the war they moved to Grandview where they owned and operated a store. They retired to Winnipeg in 1980 after enjoying many wonderful years in Grandview. Once in Winnipeg, they continued to make new friends and enjoy life to the fullest. Marion touched everyone who knew her with her warmth and quick wit. Her door was always open to all and she was ready to feed anyone who entered. She will be lovingly missed. Funeral services were held at Congregation Etz Chayim on December 20. A special thank you to the nursing staff on the third floor unit 4 of the Seven Oaks Hospital for their exceptional care during our mothers illness.
