JESSIE (JAY) AHRONSON It is with great sadness that the family announces Jays passing on Thursday, December 26, 2002 at Meadowood Manor at the age of 95. Mom leaves to cherish her memory her brother Don (April) and her children, Bud (Anita), Jean (Wilf), Dave (Barb), Vera and Rick (Ada), 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1966, grandson Keith in 1971; daughters, Marilyn in 1937 and Joyce in 1944; and three brothers, Andy, Bill and Hugh. Mom was a champion swimmer and won many trophies. The family spent many wonderful summers at Grand Marais and mom looked forward to the large family gatherings, especially her birthday parties on July 1st each year. She bowled for many years at Park Alleys and enjoyed the friendships made there even after she was no longer able to actively participate. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Meadowood Manor for their kindness and consideration with special thanks to "Eileen" (Darla). Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway on Monday, December 30 at 12:00 Noon.
