ETHENAL McKEE December 11, 1933- December 24, 2002 Ethel passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve at the Grace Hospital. She had endured many, many years of ill health due to heart and lung disease and had been in the hospital for most of December. Early on the morning of December 22 she told her daughters that she loved them and would miss them but that she was exhausted, her time to leave us had come and she truly was looking forward to the hereafter and wanted to go with as little fuss as possible. During the next two days we were given our instructions. There was the list of who we were to thank, say good-bye and "I love you" to on her behalf. She also told her girls to keep each other and those on her list close. There was to be immediate cremation upon death and certainly no funeral service or flowers. We were told we would be allowed to cry for a bit but then we were to be happy, not sad when we remember her. Moms life ended as she had lived it - on her own terms. Ethel is survived by her daughters, Goldy Dyson, Fern McKee and Cindy Dyson and their father Daniel McKee; her sons-in-law, Gary Dyson and Wayne Lauk; her grandsons which she cherished and admired in the special way that only a grandma does, Lee Breyfogle and Adam Breyfogle and a special "granddaughter" - Lindsay Lauk; her sister Elsie Nickel and brother-in-law Howard Nickel; nieces, Candace, Dawn and Chrystal and her sister-in-law Iris McDonald; brother-in-law Glenn McDonald and niece Leah. Our gratitude is extended to Drs. Sheila Domke and Oscar Domke for the outstanding care they have always provided to Mom. Also thanks to the entire medical staff of the Grace Hospital, particularly everyone in Emergency and on the Third Floor. A very special thank you from Goldy and Cindy to nurses, Trish and Carissa and to Audrey our singing angel who were especially kind and compassionate during those final 48 hours. You helped us more than you will every know. The entire family would like to acknowledge our appreciation to our many friends and co-workers who have been so supportive in the years that Mom has been ill and now kind enough to take time from their Christmas to console and help us. As per Moms instructions cremation has taken place and there will not be a funeral service. Flowers are gratefully declined. We will always love you Mom and will keep our promises to you. Save us a place and we will see you later. WOJCIKS ALL BELIEFS & FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
