Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryERNEST JOHN LAVALLEE 1919 - 2002 Peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2002 at the Deer Lodge Centre, Winnipeg, MB, Ernest J. Lavallee, passed away with his family by his side. Prayers will be held in the St. Ambroise Roman Catholic Church on Monday, December 30 at 10:00 a.m. Funeral service will be held in the St. Ambroise Roman Catholic Church, St. Ambroise, MB, on Monday, December 30 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Wayne Morrissey officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Ambroise Roman Catholic Churchyard Cemetery. Predeceased by mother and father, John and Octavia Lavallee; brothers, Xavier (Frank), Edmond; and three sisters, Alexina Klyne, Marceline Ducharme, and Ernestine Ricard. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 55 years Theresa; four children, Martin (Doris), Sheila Lemon (Doug), Lori (Roberta) and Dan (Cheryl) seven grandchildren, Tina, Brett, Eryn, Ashley, Terilyn, Brehanna and Tess; two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Bailey; two brothers, Oscar and Gordon; one sister Aurice Tessier; and two sisters-in-law, Margaret and Myrtle. Ernest was born on November 3, 1919 in St. Ambroise where he resided until his illness. Ernest proudly served his country throughout Europe during the Second World War, enlisting in 1940-1945 with the P.P.C.L.I. Regiment. Ernest worked as the Park Supervisor at St. Ambroise Provincial Park for 30 years until his retirement. Dad had a great passion for his many talents, including jigging and the great outdoors. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the special staff on ward T3 at Deer Lodge Centre for their care and compassion during Dads stay. Should friends and family so wish, memorial donations may be made in Dads name to Deer Lodge Centre, 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3.
