LOUIS LEO GELINEAU Suddenly on Thursday, December 26, 2002 Louis Gelineau passed away at his home at Villa Youville in Ste. Anne, MB at the age of 85. Louis will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 62 years Berthe (nee Therrien) their children, Phillippe (Angele), Roger (Lucy), Louise (Reynald), Raynald (Jeannine), Simone (Paul), Yvonne (David), Guy (Lana) and 15 grandchildren, Suzanne (Gaeten), Paul (Shelley), Andre (Wendy), Jacqueline (Don), Neil (Crystal), Andrea (Jesus), Noel, Gilbert, Julien, Jennifer, Dana (Andrew), Larry, Adam, Dianne, Melissa, Andrew, Aretta; and 15 great-grandchildren, Mathieu, Pascal, Joel, Samuel, Genevieve, Sebastien, Marc, Noah, Isaac, Kirsten, Alyssa, Karissa, Robin, Alyssa and Emma. He is survived by his older sister Eva Adams; and sister-in-law Therese Therrien. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers. Louis was born in Perigard, SK on February 17, 1917 the youngest of four children. He married Berthe Therrien from Lorette, MB on November 16, 1940 and raised seven children in Lorette. Louis retired in 1983 after working 33 years for Dominion Bridge. Louis loved to travel so he purchased a motor home and he and Mom travelled across Canada and the United States for 18 years. "Dad you built the foundation of our family with love and respect. Now with your passing the foundation is weakened but not broken. We remember your strength and optimism and we will work together to strengthen the family foundation with the tools you gave us - love and respect for each other". We will miss your laughter, your beautiful smile, the light in your eyes and your unfailing commitment and devotion to your family. The family wishes to thank the staff of Villa Youville for their compassion and loving care. Prayers will be held on Friday, January 3, 2003 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in Notre Dame de Lorette Roman Catholic Church, Lorette. Interment will follow in the Lorette Cemetery.
