Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN DYCK John Dyck, born June 2, 1931, passed away suddenly at the Health Science Centre on Sunday, December 29, 2002 at the age of 71. John was married January 24, 1957 and will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Eva of 45 years; daughters, Susan and Helen; son Abe (Karen) and granddaughter Keanna, whom he loved dearly. John was predeceased by his mother Helena and father Diedrich, who both resided in Paraguay, South America. John also leaves to mourn four sisters, Helen (Ben) of British Columbia, Mary (Abe) of Winkler, Tina of Paraguay, Annie (Isaac) and two brothers Dick (Trudy) of Paraguay, and Peter (Adelle). There are many other family members and friends who were important to John as he made himself available to all those who knew him. John was an extremely hard working, dedicated, gentle man with a witty sense of humour. He was a man of few words but expressed his happiness with a smile. John got pleasure from get-togethers with friends and family, his involvement with the church, and corresponding with loved ones over seas. Until his battle with heart disease and stroke, one would never even know when he was in pain because he would rather not burden you with a complaint. The family would like to express thanks to all those involved in Johns care, especially the nurses and doctors at HSC and St. Boniface for their excellent care and consideration for our Dad, husband and friend. You May Be Gone But Never Forgotten We Will Miss You Dearly. If friends so desire, donations in Johns name may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation located at 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3B 2H8. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 3 at New Bothwell Sommerfeld Mennonite Church at 2:00 p.m., located on Highway 52, then North on Highway 216. Viewing will be Thursday, January 2 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy and prior to the service. Interment at New Bothwell Church Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
