THOMAS JAKILAZEK (Poppi) Peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2002 at the Victoria General Hospital, Thomas Jakilazek passed away at the age of 83 years. Tom is survived by four sons, Allan (Bonnie), Wes (Tannis), Ray (Doris) and Ken (Ingrid) seven grandchildren, Ang, Melanie, Evan, Graham, Lana, Megan and Colin. Tom was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Agnes (Reimer) parents, his sisters Mary Payne, Alice Peebles and Nellie Sucharov; and brother Phil Jackson. Tom was born in Sifton, MB on April 27, 1919. He moved to Winnipeg and was employed with Co-op Implements for 45 years. He served his country in the Second World War. Tom married Agnes in 1947. Tom retired from Co-op Implements in 1985. He spent his retirement years, traveling, golfing, fishing and enjoying friends and family. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 30 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Church, Munroe and Brazier with Br. Jorge Villegas presiding. Viewing will take place one half hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Evan Jakilazek, Graham Jakilazek, Ang Jakilazek, Melanie Jakilazek, Mark Koga and John Guezen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Toms memory to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 1932, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R2. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
