Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE (PHILON) CHARTRAND On Tuesday, December 24, 2002 after a lengthy illness, George Chartrand, aged 62 years, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. He is survived by his daughters, Donna (Wayne) Houle and Sandra; brother Arthur; sisters, Florence and Irene; numerous nieces and nephew. He was predeceased by his wife Edna in 1972; father Josie in 1961; mother Helen in 1987; brothers, Norman in 1983 and Victor in 1985; sister Mary in 1991. George was born on May 23, 1940 in Camperville, MB. For many years he worked in the logging industry. He enjoyed playing the guitar and fiddle and loved to sing. Wake service starting at 4:00 p.m. with prayers being said at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30 at Kateri Parish, 794 Ellice Ave. Funeral mass 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, also at Kateri Parish. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Lariviere, Garry Flamand, Willard Chartrand, Gordon Spence, Emile Guiboche, Peter Beauchamp, Lester Chartrand and Robert Belhumeur.
