Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAZEL ALICE MOWATT 1924 - 2002 Hazel Alice Mowatt (nee Samson), aged 78, died on December 25, 2002, in Calgary, AB, surrounded by her loving family at home, following a courageous battle with her illness. She was born in Winnipeg and raised her family there. Hazel moved to Calgary 5 years ago to live with her daughter Diane (Jonathan). She loved to crochet, watch her birds at the feeder, and be with her family. Hazel is survived by her son, Jim (Beth) daughters, Diane (Jonathan), Debbie (Jeff) and Kim (Brad) grandchildren, Jim, Jeff, Carol (Darcy), Teri-Lynn (Dwayne), Lori-Ann (Cory), Carrie (Rob), Lisa (Wes), Leanne and Alyssa; and great-grandchildren, Erika, Olivia, Nicholas, Breann and Lucy. Also surviving are sisters, Sylvia (Frank), Eileen, Viola (Bud) and Joyce; and a brother David (Sharon). Hazel has never forgotten her good friend, Evie. She was predeceased by her husband Art; sisters, Thelma and Dorothy; and brothers, Clifford, Johnny and Eddie. Funeral services will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 - 4 Street N.W. (within the valley of Queens Park Cemetery) on Friday, January 3, 2003 at 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Sharon Barlow officiating. Special thanks to Hazels home care aids, Susan and Dorothy; to her team of palliative nurses; and to her doctor, who made her last days comfortable. "We miss you, Mom; we Love you."
