JOSE PACHECO DE OLIVEIRA Peacefully on Saturday, December 28, 2002, at Health Sciences Centre, Jose de Oliveira passed away at the age of 69. He was predeceased by his father Manuel and brother Alfredo. Jose will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Lidia; mother Maria; children, Joe (Natercia), Oriana (Humberto), Carlos (Peggy), Maria (John) 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Manuel (Almerinda) and family in Toronto; and cousin Jose Pacheco and family in Winnipeg. Jose was born in Sao Miguel, Acores on January 20, 1933. He came to Canada in 1970 and settled in Toronto. Three years later he moved to Winnipeg and sent for his family who joined him here. He worked in construction most of his life and retired at the age of 60. Jose enjoyed spending time with his family and meeting with friends at the restaurant. The family would like to thank the staff at Health Sciences Centre for all their wonderful care given to Jose. Prayers will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 3, at 10:00 a.m., also at Immaculate Conception Parish, with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
