Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA VITUCCI With courage, dignity and peace and with her loving husband by her side, Maria, aged 53, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2002 at St. Boniface General Hospital. She was surrounded by family and friends throughout her struggle. Her family was the most important part of her life. She loved her husband and children with all her heart and more. She was an amazing wife and mother. Maria was a beautiful person inside and out. She was a loving and generous person whose positive nature touched many lives. She welcomed everyone with open arms, and had a unique way of inviting people into her life. People instantly felt an attachment to her. Maria will be forever remembered and missed by all who knew her but especially by her husband Angelo and daughters, Donata, Caterina, and Giuseppina. She will also be dearly missed by her two sisters, Benedetta Valentini and Angela Scerbo of Winnipeg; her brother Giuseppe (Bina) and her sisters, Vincenza (Nicola) and Michelina (Antonio) of Italy; and her sister Isabella (Gaetano) of Australia. Among many nieces and nephews, she will be missed dearly by those closest to her, Chiara and Caterina (Joseph). Maria was predeceased by both her mother Caterina Dagostino and father Tommaso Palmiotto. Maria was born in Giovinazzo, Italy on April 28, 1949, where she spent her early years. At age 21, she came to Winnipeg with two of her sisters where she soon met the love of her life, Angelo. From their great love, three beautiful daughters were created. We wish to thank and acknowledge the wonderful staff of 7A West at St. Boniface Hospital. Your love and concern for her care and comfort was obvious in your respectful and loving treatment of her. She could not have felt more loved elsewhere. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Maria loved flowers and spent many hours in her garden, and now she will be embraced by the most beautiful garden with the most radiant flowers; the eternal garden. Her inviting smile illuminated all those she encountered and it never faded. As her journey begins with God, her smile became ever more luminous than ever. We invite you to join us in the celebration of Marias life with prayers on Monday, December 30 at 7:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Parish, 510 River Ave. and for Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 31 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding. Pallbearers are Sam Pellettieri, Glen Luu, Joseph Bova, Geoff Tauvette, Gianni Frezza, and Lorenzo De Nora. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Maria Vitucci to the St. Boniface Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 9Z9. P.
