LESLIE HAMILTON CHURCHILL On Sunday, December 29, 2002, at the Lions Manor in Portage La Prairie, our precious father, grandfather and great-grandfather Leslie Hamilton Churchill, aged 94, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Leslie was predeceased by his wife Florence in 1984. He is survived by three children, Lawrence (Selma) of Portage La Prairie, Shirley of Winnipeg, Winston (Lois) of Calgary; six grandchildren, Grant (Bev) Churchill, Heather (Jeff) Martin, Eunice Churchill, Sheldon (Heather) Churchill, Beverly (Wendell) Olojan, Wes (Virginia) Churchill; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Annie Reeves of Winnipeg. Leslie Churchill was born in Portage La Prairie, grew up in Morris, MB, and following his marriage to Florence Allen, settled in Piney, MB, until 1959 when the family moved to Winnipeg. During their years in Winnipeg Leslie and Florence attended Elim Chapel where Leslie served on the Missions Committee and participated in regular missionary prayer meetings. Following retirement from carpentry work, Leslie spent many enjoyable hours helping at the Union Gospel Mission. Leslie moved back to Portage La Prairie in 1999. The family is grateful for the dedicated and loving care given to Dad by the staff at the Lions Manor.
