PETER LASCHUK Peacefully, in his sleep, on Monday, December 30, 2002, Peter Laschuk, aged 72 years, passed away at his residence. He was predeceased by his father Joseph Laschuk; brothers-in-law, Glen Grapentine, John Harper and Walter Halipchuk. He is survived by his son Blaine (Sandy) and daughter Cindy (Ed) Loewen; grandchildren, Carly and Shelby; mother Pauline; sisters, Stella Halipchuk, Helen Harper and Florence Grapentine; and many nieces and nephews. Peter was born and raised in Cooks Creek, MB. He lived and worked in Winnipeg. Peter retired after 45 years with Westeel. He also worked part time for the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 81. The family would like to thank the home care workers, nurses, friends, and special friends, Pauline Loepp, Jean and Noel Poitras who helped care for him and made it possible for him to live in his own home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment will follow in the Ukrainian National Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Peters memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
