NESTER SHABAGA Suddenly on Sunday, December 29, 2002, Nester Shabaga passed away at the age of 75 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Dorothy of 41 years; sons, Corwin (Brenda), Collin (Shelley) grandchildren, Brandi, Jagar, Dillon and Travis. He is also survived by his sister Helen; brothers, Paul and William; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Nester was born June 21, 1928 in Winnipeg. He grew up in St. Martin, MB and worked for Northland Fisheries in the north for many years. He then worked for Air Manitoba until his retirement. In his younger years he was quite the sportsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. Nester also enjoyed to work with his hands. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and took great pleasure in his grandchildren. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre.
