EILEEN ADDIE NOVADALE (nee EVANS) Passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2003 after a lengthy battle with C.O.P.D. Eileen was born at Pilot Mound on November 12, 1936 to Annie and Bill Evans. She is survived by her four children; daughters, Dawn and her husband Gilles Chappellaz and Laurie and her husband Murray Summers; sons, Larry and Russell and his wife Karmel Jaremy. Also surviving are granddaughter Dana Chappellaz and grandson Jay Summers; sister Mabel Wood and sister-in-law Eleanor Evans. She was predeceased by her sister and best friend Rosella Carswell; and three brothers, Milton, Raymond and Melvin; and brother-in-law Clare Wood. Eileen worked at Gambles and Zellers at Grant Park for 21 years then moving over to Polo Park store for five years. She took early retirement in November, 1991 because of her health. Eileen enjoyed paper tole and other crafts with the group from Carpathia Co-Op as well as knitting and crocheting. For the past seven years she enjoyed bingo and cards with the group from The Villa Nova. She also was a great fan of the Winnipeg Jets and Toronto Blue Jays. Cremation has taken place. At Eileens request a memorial service will be held on Monday, January 6 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre, Respiratory Unit, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 9Z9.
