Lovingly remembered by her daughters, Dianne Del Grande (Donald) of San Francisco, Shirley Manson Martin (John) of Winnipeg and Lynne Petelski (John) of Victoria; also by her beloved grandchildren, Daniel Del Grande (Sarah), Donna Del Grande Kihlberg (John), Kathryn and Robert Manson, Tanis Taylor (Paul), Christin and Regan Petelski. She was predeceased by son-in-law Bruce Manson. Mom / Grandma loved life and will be remembered for her sense of humour, her wonderful smile and her willingness to assist anyone who asked for help. Of particular joy was the time she spent with her grandchildren. She and Dad were blessed with 47 wonderful years of marriage and we know she is now in a better place where Dad can once again take care of her. Gladys was born in Winnipeg, MB in 1914, where she lived until moving to Victoria, BC in 1971. In Winnipeg she was active in the Kiwanis Club, Girl Guides of Canada, the Norwood United Church Womens Auxiliary and St. Johns Hospital Guild. When she wasnt spending time with her family in Winnipeg, Pierson or Souris, she loved to bowl, sew and play bridge. She was an avid reader and gardener. The family extends their appreciation to the staff at Mt. Tolmie Hospital, were Mom lived the last 10 years, to caregiver Elaine Goodridge, and in particular, to her primary caregiver throughout all those years at Mt. Tolmie, Lynn Shaw. A memorial service will be held, in Moms memory, at a later date. At her request, donations in lieu of flowers, may be sent to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C., Ste. 1 - 947 Fort St., Victoria, BC V8V 3K3.
