Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTANFORD M. JENKINS It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father. Peacefully, on January 2, 2003, surrounded by his family, Stan Jenkins passed away. Stan was born on April 28, 1919 in Wadena, SK. He was predeceased by his wife Palmira, an infant son and his parents. He will be sadly missed by son Donn (Anne) daughter Marcia Nedecky (John) grandsons, Mark, Riley, Jason, Justin; and sisters, Margery and Carol; as well as brothers, Garnet and Norris. Stan moved to Winnipeg in 1937. He served in the R.C.A.F. for four years with three years spent overseas with the 408 squadron during the Second World War. Over the years, Stan was active in sports. He was a president of the Morden Golf and Curling Clubs. Stan was also a president of the Royal Canadian Legion in Morden. Stan was an avid game bird hunter. Stan was a founding member of the Morden Medical Centre. He practiced optometry there for 31 years and retired in 1979. His retirement years were spent golfing, fishing and spending time with friends at the Friendship Centre. Thank you to the staff at Boundary Trails, Deer Lodge and Grace Hospital. He often commented on the excellent care he received. In lieu of flowers, those who wish can make a charitable donation in remembrance of Stan. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 5 at St. Pauls United Church in Morden, MB.
