DIANE BARRIE (JEFFREY) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and special friend Diane Barrie at the age of 71 years. Peacefully on January 3, 2003 Diane passed away with family by her side at the Health Sciences Centre. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Roberta and Debra (Bill) son Tim (Corinne) grandchildren, Courtney, Cody and Lisa; and great-granddaughter Serena; sister-in-law Carol Barrie; and special friends, George Banman, David, Claudia and Meghan Bridges. Diane was predeceased by her son Barrie Jeffrey in 1971. The family would like to thank the fifth floor staff at the Health Sciences Centre for their love and dedication to her care. A very special thank you to her granddaughter Courtney for her unwavering love, loyalty and devotion, "You were each others strength". A celebration of Dianes life will be held on Wednesday, January 8 between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, located at 680 Archibald St. In keeping with Moms wishes, cremation has taken place.
