IRIS MAE CARLSON (WAKELING) Passed away on January 3, 2003 at the Grace Hospital in her 92nd year. Iris is survived by her daughter Doris Klassen (Julius) her five grandchildren, Sharon Jones of Sanford, Carolyn (John) Worden of Sanford, Grant Klassen of St. Jean, Donna Wotherspoon (Darrell) Swift Current, SK and Ron Klassen (Judie) of Winnipeg. Nine great-grandchildren, Chris and Darrell Jones, Scott, Jessica, and Colleen Worden, Kristen and Tyler Wotherspoon and Andrea and Amy Klassen. Iris had volunteered at Deer Lodge for many years and was much appreciated by the patients and staff. The family would like to express their thanks to the Kiwanis Staff, Home Care and the Palliative Care staff who cared for her. Also special thanks to Dr. Brent Roussin and the nurses at 4W at Grace Hospital for their care and kindness. Revelation 21:4 God will wipe away all tears from their eyes. There will be no more death no more crying or pain. The old things have disappeared. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Iris memory to Knox United Church, 400 Edmonton St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2M2. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 7 at 2:30 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with Rev. David N. Murata officiating.
