PERRY "WADE" CURLE April 25, 1961 - January 2, 2003 With dignity and courage, Wade Curle, aged 41, passed away after a brave battle against cancer. He was predeceased by his sister Sylvia Ann Curle in 1959. He is survived by his best friend and wife Donna Lalonde; his little angels, Danielle, aged ten, Nicole, aged eight, Landon, aged three; his pets, Sheeba and Mickey; his brothers, Reg (Joan) and Jay (Heather) Curle; his sisters and brother-in-law, Judy, Marilyn and Frank Lalonde; his parents Mal and Olivia Curle; his mother and father-in-law Jack and Berna Lalonde. He will be especially missed by his close friends, Jerry and Cindy Meagher and Shane and Karen Schultz, and Lyle and Bernice McKay. Wade was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a loyal and passionate man who even through illness always put his family first. From the age of 19, Wade ran his own business, "Perrys Lawn Care & Snow Removal." He took great pride in a job well done, and his many customers didnt just see him as the guy who did their yard but as the person they could count on to take care of them in his own special way. On February 14, 1981, Wade met his soulmate and best friend Donna Lalonde and eventually married her June 15, 1991. Together they created three beautiful children who will miss their Daddy so much but know they were loved. Wade loved animals, camping, fishing, hiking, curling, golfing, baseball, the outdoors and many other life giving things. He had a great sense of humour and kept us laughing (between the tears) right to the very end. Near the end Wade was able to say he wasnt afraid to die but he struggled to leave his wife and children alone. We were able to let him know we would be sad but would be okay because of the never ending love he has and will continue to shower us with. The family would like to thank the many people who have and continue to provide support to Wade and his family during this most difficult time. A celebration of Wades life will take place on Friday, January 10, 1:30 p.m. at the Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Blvd., with a reception to follow. Honorary pallbearers will be Reg Curle, Jay Curle, Jerry Meagher, Shane Schultz and Frank Lalonde. In lieu of flowers please make donations to CancerCare Manitoba, St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Victoria Hospital Oncology Department, Marymound Inc. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away. You suffered so much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend. But still you kept fighting Until the very end. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be. And with open arms around you, Whispered, "Come with Me." So when we saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain, We could not wish you back, To suffer that again.
