LILJA LAMOUREUX Beloved wife of 50 years to Russell Lamoureux, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. Lilja passed away December 16, 2002 in Calgary, where she had lived since 1966, at the age of 75. Lilja is the loving mother, Amma and friend of her children, Dennis (Rose), Daniel (Barb), Randy (Laura), Howard (Mary) and Laureen (Joel) and is survived by 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Also surviving her are brothers, Oscar Einarson (Sonia) of Winnipeg, Steve Einarson (Norma) of Oakville, MB and Harold Einarson (Bernice) of Oakville, MB and Marilyn Einarson of Winnipeg. Lilja was predeceased by her daughter Linda and her brothers, Sigurdur (Sig) and Baldur Einarson. Lilja was born at Lundar, MB to parents, Einar and Svanborg Einarson. Lilja had so much strength and courage to battle ALS, such a dreadful disease. She will always be remembered for her smile, her laugh, her love of life and family. Special thanks go to Doreen McKinnon, the ALS Society, Jane, and all caregivers and all those who helped through this time. Visitation was held at Mountain View Funeral Home on December 20.
