JOHN WILLIAM BRACKEN January 6, 1916 - January 5, 2003 On Sunday, January 5, 2003 at the Sunnywood Manor, Pine Falls, MB, John Bracken aged 86 years, beloved husband of Clara Bracken of Pine Falls, MB. Besides his loving wife Clara he leaves to cherish his memory a son Jack (special friend Kay Rochon) of Revelstoke, BC, and his children, Deanne Kelsberg (Brian), Tracy Carslake her son Jeff, Bill Bracken Jennifer and their daughter Carolynne, Shawn Bracken (special friend Kathy) daughter Pat Kropp (Richard) of Great Falls, MB and their children Tim Kropp (Tamara) and their daughter Taylor, Marni Dackiw (Steve). Also surviving are five sisters and seven brothers as well as numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a daughter Noreen, son Garry and a brother Howard. John was born January 6, 1916 in Tessier, SK and throughout his life he never was afraid of hard work, he farmed, worked for Manitoba Hydro and was a Seed Buyer. He served as Reeve for the R.M. of Alexander, on the Board of the North Eastern Health Association, belonged to the Masonic Lodge, Lions Club. He loved to go to the Threshermens Reunion in Austin to see the antique farm equipment and the Morris Rodeo. John also enjoyed watching hockey and baseball in his free time. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Johns life will be held on Wednesday, January 8 at 2:00 p.m. from the Pine Falls United Church, Pine Falls, MB with Rev. Bonita Garrett officiating. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Sunnywood Manor Council, Pine Falls, MB or, to the Alzheimer Society or to the Cystic Fibrosis Society.
