Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHENRY GEORGE ANDERSON June 3, 1899 - January 4, 2003 After a long full life, with his family by his side, Henry George (Tanieu) passed on to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on January 4, 2003 at the age of 103 years. For 60 years, he was the cherished husband of Florence (nee Letandre) who passed away on February 17, 1988. Left with loving memories of Henry George are his children: sons, Thomas (Mabel) Anderson, Walter Anderson, Wilfred (Yvonne) Anderson, Hebron (Delma) Anderson, Ernest (Susan) Anderson; grandsons he raised, George (Dinah) Anderson, Gerald (Lena) Anderson, Ernest (Carrie) Marsden, Randy (Maureen) Anderson, and his special grandson Michael (Chantel) Anderson, also David (Christine) Ross whom he adopted as his son; his daughters, Beatrice Beardy, Olive (Harold) Marsden, Melva (Victor) Traverse, Irene (Terry) Parenteau, and Muriel (Melvin) Woodford; 80 grandchildren, 258 great-grandchildren, 155 great-great-grandchildren, 58 great-great-great-grandchildren; his special nephew Hubert Felix; Elders Mary and William Sinclair as well as numerous other relatives. Henry George was predeceased by his daughters, Linda on February 16, 1985, Susan on February 20, 1996, Mary Ida and Hazel in infancy; his daughter-in-law Helen Anderson on March 31, 1997; his sons-in-law, Kenneth Beardy on August 20, 2001, and Raymond Sumner Sr. on September 6, 2001; his grandchildren, Elaine Sumner on November 9, 1978, Lawrence Anderson on January 1, 1993, Timothy Pruden on June 8, 2001, and Martha Thompson on February 23, 2002; his great-grandchildren, Orville Dean Anderson on November 1, 1997, Leona Anderson on January 19, 1999, Leslie Sumner on October 23, 1999, and Leya Marsden on February 12, 2002; his in-laws, Wilfred and Irene Letandre, Thomas and Elsie Letandre, David and Mary Letandre, Bertie and Victoria Letandre, Alexander and Ida Bruce, Sarah and Alphonse Johnston, Mary Delia and Eugene Lacquette, Henry George and Christina Tait; his mother Alice Sumner; special parents, Walter and Helen Anderson and two sisters. Wake services will be held on Monday, January 6 and on Tuesday, January 7 at 7:30 p.m. both evenings. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 8 at 1:00 p.m. All services will be held at the Little Saskatchewan Pentecostal Church, Little Saskatchewan, MB. Pastor Gerald Anderson, Rev. Robert McLean and Jim Anderson will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Little Saskatchewan Cemetery. Welcome Home Welcome home, my child, my son, Your work on earth has been done. You have been a witness to many while on earth, And youve shared the story about the miracle birth. You never hid the fact that you loved me, You shared the word no matter what the need be. You spoke of me often to family and friends, And you showed how faith can strengthen and often mend. You did your best to always give glory to me, And for this you will live eternally. And now the time has come for you to rest, Im taking you home as my special guest. Welcome home, my child, my son, Your work on earth has been well done. I miss u every day. I only wish that u could have stayed to watch my children grow. U were a great man while u were here, helping people in need or being there to comfort anyone in pain. I miss u and i will always love u. Thank you for raising me and i will make sure my kids will know u and raise them the way u raised me.
