For some years she was an active member of the Stroke Recovery Association of Manitoba (the Stroke Club) and to her delight, once served as President. Rita will leave behind memories of a cheerful outlook, good humour and caring attitude towards all who came in contact with her. A special thank you to the staff on 3DE for being Ritas "extended family". A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ritas memory may be made to the Stroke Recovery Association of Manitoba, 1 - 333 Vaughan St, Winnipeg, R3B 3J9.
