RUTH EDNA NENTWIG (nee JAMES) Peacefully on Tuesday, December 24, 2002, at the Portage District General Hospital, Ruth Edna Nentwig passed away at the age of 93 years. Ruth was predeceased by her parents Everett and Charlotte James; and brothers, Raymond James and Leonard James. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Herbert of Portage la Prairie; son Larry and his wife Donna; and grandchildren, Tara and Christopher, all of Winnipeg; sisters, Helen (Kent) Connor of Phoenix, AZ, Connie James of Kelowna, BC, and Eunice James of Phoenix; and brothers, Wilfred (Mae) James of Neepawa, MB, and Harold James of Kelowna; along with numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel, 56 Royal Rd. S., Portage la Prairie, with Rev. Ross Taylor officiating. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Ruths memory to Central Plains Cancer Care Services, 318 Saskatchewan Ave. E., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 0K8, or to Palliative Care, Portage District General Hospital Foundation, 524 5th Street S.E., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3A8. A tree will be planted and cared for in memory of Ruth by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel who are entrusted with the arrangements. 857-4021.
