Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID THOMAS (DAVE) PARROTT August 21, 1921 -January 5, 2003 Passed away at home in St. Malo, MB in the early morning of January 5, 2003. He was predeceased by his wives, Bernice (Snyder) and Hortense (Gordon) his parents, Fleming and Elsie Parrott; three brothers, Colin, Victor and Donald. He is survived by his sister Bernice Fanning of Winnipeg; his children, Victor (Gayle) of Fort McMurray, AB, Linda (Gerry) Homenick of Calgary, AB, Jim (Gert) of Brandon, MB, Glenda (Bob) Keeley of Ottawa, ON and Tannis Marks of Cranbrook, BC and nine grandchildren; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Dave Parrott grew up in Grandview, MB and joined the Canadian Army at the outbreak of the Second World War. He served with both the Winnipeg Grenadiers and the South Saskatchewan Regiment. Invalided to Canada in 1942, he met his wife-to-be Bernice Snyder, while recuperating at Deer Lodge Hospital in Winnipeg. After the war he worked at Dunn and Bradstreet, then as a salesman for Kings Best Candies before he settled in as a country salesman for Midwest Paper. After retirement he moved to St. Pierre, MB and in 2002 he moved to Chalet Malouin in St. Malo. A memorial service will take place at Loewen Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on January 8 at 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Grandview United Church in Grandview on January 9 at 3:00 p.m., with interment to follow at the Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Loewen Funeral Chapel, Steinbach.
