RITA DANDURAND (nee BROESKA) Peacefully with her sons and sister at her side, on Wednesday, January 8, 2003, Rita Dandurand slipped into eternal life. Rita is survived by her two sons, Kevin and Keith; daughter-in-law Janice; and three grandchildren, Marc, Nicole and Kris. Also left to mourn her are her two brothers, Raymond (Bev) Broeska, Kenneth (Roseanne) Broeska; and seven sisters, Ruth (Stan) Mrochuk, Joan Spencer, Pat (Joe) Scott, Kathy Lanthier, Judy (Randy) Buchko, Lorraine (Arthur) Rey and Jacqueline (Peter) Bonkowski. Her husband Walter; her daughter Michelle; parents Jacob and Della Broeska; and one brother-in-law Harry Spencer predeceased her. Rita was a wonderful wife and mother who spent endless years lovingly caring for Walter during his lengthy illness. She was a devoted mother to her two sons Kevin and Keith and Keiths family. Rita was one of 10 siblings who will miss her quick smile and great sense of humour, particularly at our very large family gatherings. She will be greatly missed by her sons and their family, as well as at the monthly "Sisters Lunches" that were an important part of all our lives. Rita had many friends over the years but will be particularly missed by the friends in her block that had become an extended part of her family and an integral part of her life. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the ICU station at St. Boniface Hospital for the wonderful care that was extended to Rita, and the compassionate and sensitive manner in which they dealt with the family. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate a donation be made in Ritas memory to the St. Boniface Medical Intensive Care Unit, St. Boniface Hospital, 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. Memorial service will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St., at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10.
