He will be lovingly remembered by Peggy, his devoted wife of 60 years and his adoring son, John (Gail) two grandchildren of whom he was so proud, Jennifer (Rob) and Spencer; his special sister Pat whom he loved dearly; nieces, Moira Kowalchuk and Dorothy Johnson (Gord) and their families; as well as all the family in England. He will be missed by many close friends. Andy was born June 11, 1918 in Newcastle-upon-Tyre, England. As a youth, he was a competitive swimmer and played water polo. He also loved soccer and throughout his life, he was a strong supporter of Newcastle United soccer team. In 1954, he came to Canada where he spent most of his working years with Agriculture Canada. He loved golf and was a member of the Southwood Golf and Country Club for 16 years where he and Peggy developed many good friendships. Andy was a warm, generous, and kind person whose smile lit up the room. Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff on the 4th Floor at the Victoria Hospital.
