IDA TRUMBLA The family announces the peaceful passing on January 6, 2003 at the Douglas Campbell Lodge in Portage la Prairie of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Ida Trumbla, formerly of Oakville. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 60 years, Alfred; son Harry (Marilyn) with grandchildren, Cory (Kyra), Tracy and Angela and great-grandchildren, Travis and Jessie; daughter Laura Watson (Gary) with grandchildren, Kelly (Rhea) and Myra and great-grandchildren, Cheyenne and Mason. She is survived by one brother Dave (Yvonne) and sisters, Hilda Bass (Vic), Margaret Carriere (Arnold), Alma McCreery (late Ben) and Alice Taylor (John). She was predeceased by brothers, Lester, Henry (Ivy), Gilbert (Margaret) and Simon and sisters, Mae McCreery (Dave) and Marion Johnston (Jock). The family wishes to thank the staff at Douglas Campbell Lodge for the tender loving care Mom received during her illness. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel, 56 Royal Rd. S., Portage la Prairie, on Friday, January 10 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Idas memory to Douglas Campbell Lodge Foundation, c/o Portage District General Hospital Foundation, 150 - 9th Street S.E., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3T6. A tree will be planted and cared for in memory of Ida by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel who are entrusted with the arrangements. (204) 857-4021.
