KATHERINE ZUBRIN (nee PACHOLUK) January 1911 - January 9, 2003 After a long full life, my mother passed away at the age of 92 at the Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her only child, her son Marvin (his wife Pat) granddaughters, Michele and Angela of Winnipeg and her youngest brother Matt (Nell) of London, ON. She also leaves behind nephews and nieces who were always kind with their visits and invitations to family gatherings. She was very close to her niece Kay Mandziuk and particularly fond of Kays daughter Rose-Ann who was a constant visitor and joy to her. My mother, myself and my grandparents moved from the farm to Dauphin in 1945 where she worked until she moved to Winnipeg in 1967 to be closer to her new granddaughters. She worked again in Winnipeg until full retirement age. A senior citizen complex was a welcome and deserving retirement. She is now at peace. Funeral service will be held at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St., at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13 with Deacon Nick Kohuch officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Family Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her nephews, David Pacholuk, Frank Pacholuk, Ray Pacholuk, Bill Pacholuk and granddaughters, Michele and Angela Zubrin. The family would like to thank the wonderful caring staff at the River East Personal Care Home and the doctors, nurses and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital Palliative Care Unit No. 1. Good Bye Mom. Vichnaya Pamyat.
