ARTHUR (ART) DOWLING It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Arthur Dowling on January 8, 2003 at the Victoria Hospital following a stroke January 5, 2003. Art was surrounded by his loving family during this time. Art was born July 30, 1919 in Holland, MB and later moved to Winnipeg. He will be dearly missed by his children and grandchildren. Sons; Doug (Doxie) Dowling of Pine Falls, Dwight Dowling (Stephannie) of Calgary; daughters, Donna Dowling of White Rock, BC and Darlene Dowling of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Dawn and Bob Nault, Trevor and Collette Dowling, Shana and Dan Courcelles; grandsons, Jonathon Kovacs, Dan Dowling, Rob Dowling and seven great-grandchildren. Art, for many years enjoyed his winters in Hawaii after retiring from the C.P.R. 27 years ago. His summers were spent with his children and grandchildren. Previous to the C.P.R., Art ran his own trucking company after serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. Art will be especially remembered for his humour and quiet strength. To love a Dad and then part, Is the greatest trial of the human heart. Deep in our hearts your memory is kept, To love, to cherish, to never forget. At Dads request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. HE WILL BE DEARLY MISSED BY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
