Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTINA BAUMAN February 2, 1915 - January 6, 2003 Tina was born in Altona, MB to Helena and Jacob Baumann. Tina was the second oldest of six children, and at the age of 18 their mother, died. Tina assumed full responsibility of her siblings, nurtured and cared for them and continued to do so for the rest of her life. She is survived by two sisters, Erna Wyld of British Columbia, Mickey Gauthier (Albert) of Quebec. When Tina was 13 the family moved to Winnipeg, where she completed normal school. Tina taught for several years in rural Manitoba, then returned to Winnipeg to teach at Victory School Montcalm, King Edward, Robertson, and Wellington Schools, the latter years as a resource teacher. Tina also obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree. She retired in 1975, and enjoyed her retirement despite numerous health concerns. Tinas humour was a great part of her character - her ability to make others laugh and always able to laugh at herself. She will be remembered for her steadfast friendship, her unconditional love of family, interest in the lives of others, and her kindness and warmth. She will be missed by many and always in our hearts. Special thanks to Giselle, Cecilia, Nanita, Julie, Kathy, Pam, Anne and Rebecca and the residents and staff of the Westhaven for their love, care and concern. Also to the WRHA home care nurses especially Cindy, and to Donna, Mark and Lois from WRHA for their support. Much love to Erna, Mickey and families, special sister-in-law Shirley, Judy, Dave and Kathy and families for all their love and support. To her friends who continued to care and visit a huge thank-you! Special thanks to Sharon, who is grateful for the three months she spent with Tina, and to Martin for all of the help and support and for always being there. Tina is survived by her stepbrother Clarence (Gwen) and family of Winnipeg, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. All her family will remember her as the very special person she was. At Tinas request cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral.
