DORIS GOPLIN June 27, 1923 - January 1, 2003 Doris Goplin passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at the Grace Hospital with family at her side. Her parents, Casper and Effie, and her brothers, Norman and Stanley, predeceased her. She will be deeply missed by her sister-in-law Evelyn; nephews, Rod (Fran), Norman (Joan) nieces, Colleen McLeod (Brian), Jean-Anne Stewart, Theresa Romijn (Henry), Shelley Joubert (Ray), their families and friends. Doris was a kind and gentle person with a beautiful spirit. Memories of her spirit will bring comfort to her family and friends at this sad time. Her favourite activity was spending time at her cottage on West Hawk Lake. Over the years family and friends enjoyed the hospitality extended by our Aunt and we all grew to love the lake as much as her. She taught school for over 30 years in Manitoba with Daniel MacIntyre being her last teaching position prior to retirement. She belonged to the Retired Teachers Association and was a member of the University Womens Club. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 13 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. John Brebeuf Roman Catholic Church, 1707 John Brebeuf Pl., with Rev. Fr. Michael Koryluk presiding. Special thanks to the 5th floor staff at the Grace Hospital for the care and compassion provided to our Aunt. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, 200-55 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 1L8 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6, as tokens of remembrance. Forever in our hearts, Your Family WOJCIKS ALL BELIEFS & FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
