ROGER AFRED LAMBERT 1936 - 2003 Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Roger Afred Lambert on Friday, January 10, 2003 at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 66 years. He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Joan, two daughters, Holly Gurshner and Deanne Powers of Lacombe, AB; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers, Raymond (Sheila), Armand (Nancy) and Al; sisters Rosemarie and Theresa; uncles Gerry and Marcel; and numerous nieces and nephews. Roger was born on December 21, 1936 in St. Jean Baptiste, MB. Roger was a self-employed broker for over 40 years in the City of Winnipeg, his last position being with RAM Messenger. He loved his job and the people he met. Over the years Roger made many, many friends too numerous to mention, on and off the job. Roger was a lifetime member of the West Kildonan Legion. Very special friends of Rogers are Elise (Dano), Louise (Butch), Denise and Clare. It is their love and kindness that kept Roger going this past year. They went that extra mile to make sure Roger will not be forgotten. Thanks guys. A special thank you to the staff on 3 East of Riverview as well as to Dr. J. Mulner and Dr. M. Hoy. Uncle Roger and Auntie Joan would also like to express their thanks to the nieces and nephews for their support both in and out of the hospital. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held on Monday, January 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers donations in Rogers memory may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Road, Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be He put his arms around you and said, "Come on to me". LOVE YOU POOPSIE CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
