Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBERTHA (BEA) CHATWIN Passed away peacefully at West Park Manor on January 7, 2003 in her 100th year, and now is at peace with her Lord. Bea is survived by her daughters, Janice Bayly of Winnipeg and Jewel Hanson (Harold) of Billings, MT; her grandson Cecil Chatwin (Maureen) of Winnipeg; and a sister Cora Rosco, currently a resident in West Park Manor. She has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Bob in 1985, and a son James in 1970. Bea was born at Baldur, MB, and came to Winnipeg in her early youth. Bea and Bob were married in May, 1924. They both had long employment careers with Eatons, Bea in the cosmetics department and Bob in the shoe department. To the very end, Bea always took great pride in her personal appearance as she went for meals in the West Park dining room. She always enjoyed reminiscing of the great family dinners and get togethers over the years and how her husband would always bring guests, unannounced, home for dinner. She showed a great love for her family. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. The family expresses its thanks and gratitude to the nursing staff at West Park Manor for its compassionate care and thoughtfulness to their mother and grandmother over the past seven years she spent at West Park.
