Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA ROHOWAY Peacefully, on January 11, 2003, Anna passed away at the age of 95 with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Nicholas and Dora Unick, husband Emmanual, son Alexander and son-in-law Edward Tomiuk, sisters, Mary Kowalchuk and Kathleen Ostapchuk, brothers, Michael and Walter. Anna will be lovingly remembered by son Emil (Joan) daughter Charlotte, and daughter-in-law Elaine; grandchildren, Darrell (Donna), Pamela (Alain), Liana (Richard), Bradley (Maria) and Allan (Michelle) great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Zachary and Keyona; sister Lillian Ferchuk; sister-in-law Elsie Unick; and many nephews and nieces. Anna was born on July 12, 1907 in Poland. In 1912 she immigrated to Canada, settling in the Springfield area. She married Emmanual in 1926 and they remained in the area raising their three children. Mom was a very kind and gentle soul. Her family was her life and she took great pleasure in spending time with them and doing all she could for them. We were blessed to have her in our lives. The family would like to thank all the staff and volunteers at Kin Place Personal Care Home for their loving care, support and compassion shown to Anna over the last two years. Special thanks to my sister-in-law Elaine for looking after Mom when I wasnt here to do so. Charlotte Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with Fr. Taras Kowch officiating. Interment will follow at the Ukrainian National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Darrell Rohoway, Bradley and Allan Tomiuk, nephews Fred Ostapchuk, Michael Ferchuk and Barry Unick. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Volunteer Fund, Kin Place Personal Care Home, care of Ann Percy, 680 Pine Dr., Box 28, Oakbank, MB R0E 1J0.
