JULIA SHAW (nee PRYCHUN) November 14, 1922 - January 11, 2003 Julia is survived by her son John Gary Shaw; daughter Sylvia Anne Kirkpatrick; son-in-law Willard Alexander Kirkpatrick; grandchildren, Mark and Ellen Kirkpatrick; granddaughter-in-law Bethan Kirkpatrick; and great-grandson Ryan Alexander Kirkpatrick. She has two surviving sisters, Helen Haggerty and Vera Kotowich; and two brothers, Peter Prychun and Borden Prychun. She was predeceased by her sister Anna, her brother, Myron and her beloved husband John. Julia and John shared a devotion and commitment that endured forever and enriched their lives and the lives of their children. Julia had an indomitable spirit and the strength to face the challenges in her life and to celebrate the successes. The love and acceptance that she shared with her family is an inheritance that will be ours forever. She will be remembered and celebrated in our hearts always. In accordance with her wishes, Julia will be interred beside her husband at All Saints Cemetery, 4535 Main St., in a graveside ceremony at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Boniface General Hospital Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave, Winnipeg, MB R2J 9Z9. Arrangements entrusted to Thomson Funeral Chapels.
