MARTHA (MARDY) LANGNER (nee LACKMAN) Passed away suddenly, on Tuesday, January 14, 2003. Martha was born September 10, 1922 in Rhein, SK. In 1944, she married Gottlieb Langner. They enjoyed 54 years of marriage. Martha was always happiest when she was in her kitchen baking up a storm whether it was an old recipe or a new one. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Schultz of Victoria, BC and Sally (Arnold) Weinmeister of Yorkton, SK; sisters-in-law, Thelma Langner, Margaret (Rudy) Ferchoff, Alma Langner and Freda Langner; brothers-in-law, Albert (Dorothy) Langner, Leonard Langner, Frederick Langner, Edward (Melita) Langner and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gottlieb (Curly) in 1999; her brother David Lackman, sister Katie Hein, sisters-in-law, Clara Lackman, Mae Langner, Edna Langner; brothers-in-law, Ewald Schultz and Roy Langner. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. with Pastor Neill Stitt officiating. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Viewing (tonight) Thursday, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Klassen Funeral Chapel and prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Brian Lackman, David Weinmaster, Neil Weinmaster, Lawrence Ferchoff, Leslie Langner and Gerald Langner. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marthas memory to the Memorial Fund at Albright Church, 3400 De Vries Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2E 0C8. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
