BLANCHE ALICE LaROCHE (nee NAULT) Blanche passed away peacefully on January 13, 2003, at the age of 85. She was predeceased by her husband Leo, in 2001, with whom she celebrated 60 happy years of marriage; as well as her brother Tony; sisters, Agnes and Theresa; and parents, Malvina Perreault and Damase Nault. Blanche will be lovingly remembered by her son Danny; daughter-in-law Barbara; granddaughter Lise; as well as her sisters, Sr. Anne-Marie and Dolores Poot. Blanche was the "candy lady" at Kresges for seven years before moving to the Department of Highways in 1963 where she worked until she retired in 1978. She was a member of the Holy Redeemer parish for 20 years and had fond memories of her childhood friends in Fort Garry, her years at the Paroisse du Sacre-Coeur in Winnipeg, as well as the many lasting friendships developed while living at 220 Oakland in North Kildonan. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Winnipeg Community and Long-term Care Authority home care staff Ida, Verna, Shelly and Sherry as well as the care staff on the 3rd floor W Wing at the Riverview Health Centre for their expert assistance and loving care. Should friends so desire, donations in Blanches memory may be made to the Holy Redeemer Building Fund, 264 Donwood Dr., Winnipeg, MB R2G 0W5 or to the Firefighters Burn Fund, 202 - 666 St. James St., Winnipeg, MB R3G 3J6.
