WALTER PROKIPCHUK Peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2003, Wally left this world to meet again with his parents and brothers, Bill and Vincent. He will be sadly missed but forever cherished by his best friend and loving wife of 47 years, Irene; his son Brian (Gail) daughter Shelly (Bob) his grandchildren which he adored, Beau, Meagen, Tasha, Blair and Blake are left to mourn him. Survived by his sisters, Stella (Fred), Ann, Sonia (Wayne) brothers, Jack (Rose), Ivan (Mary) and numerous nieces and nephews. Wally enjoyed gardening, fishing, curling, golfing, horseshoes and shuffleboard. He was also an avid sports fan. Wally worked in carpentry for over 40 years and it showed in the quality of workmanship he did. The family would like to thank those few doctors who cared enough to try and all of the nurses who cared for Wally over the last several months. Special thanks to family, friends and neighbours for all their support. Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 17 at 10:00 a.m., in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Canadian Liver Foundation, P.O. Box 1943, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R2. His weary hours and days of pain His troubled nights are passed And in our aching hearts we know He has found sweet rest at last.
